
A festival of events organised by the local community all located on or near Windermere, one of the most beautiful lakes in England.
There will be lots going on so come and join in! You could compete in the Open English Stone Skimming Championships, learn some circus skills, listen to music on the bandstand, enjoy a guided walk, find out what the Romans got up to in Ambleside plus much, much more.

The Festival will culminate on Saturday 14th June 8.30-11.00pm with the WOW Factor an exciting free event on the Glebe. With fire works from Walk the Plank and a breathtaking aerial display from French group Transe Expresse it will be a night to remember. For more information visit www.lakesalive.org.

The regatta is open to all types of sailing and racing boats from small dinghies to large cruisers. Naturally he incorporated various locations into his stories, and Belle Isle and Bowness are readily recognizable as Long Island and Rio.
